How to register as an Intermediary organisation

HMRC Benefits and Credits have made a form available to the revenuebenefits website to speed up the registration process for intermediary organisations who deal with tax credits and child benefit on a regular basis.

Once authorised, you will be given a reference number for your organisation which can be used on the TC689 authority form. In addition, in cases where authorisation is needed quickly, TC689s can be faxed to HMRC.  They will, however, only accept an urgent TC689 by fax from registered organisations.
