£500 one-off payment for working households - UPDATE

Further detail about the one-off £500 payment for working households who receive tax credits is available.

HMRC have published the Treasury Direction, made under Section 76 Coronavirus Act 2020, setting out the rules for the payment

Although fairly straightforward in many cases, there are some complexities to the payment. We have produced a detailed FAQ page which explains who qualifies for the payment in further detail.
