Development of tax credit on-line claim service halted.

In their recent update, HMRC have advised that they are no longer developing an on-line claim service for tax credits.

The on-line claim service had been previously announced in the Chancellor's 2016 Autumn Statement but as Universal Credit continues to rollout more widely and it is expected that no new tax credit claims will be made after January 2019, HMRC are no longer moving ahead with an on-line service for new tax credit claims.
