Helpline opening hours

Those who have been involved with tax credits for some time will be used to seeing the tax credit helpline (0345 300 3900 textphone 0345 300 3909) opening hours as 8am-8pm seven days a week.

However, following a consultation, in July 2010, HMRC reviewed their contact centre opening times and implemented a series of new hours for the tax credits helpline.

The helpline is now open 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays. It is now closed on Sundays as well as Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday).
