Tax credits computer system downtime

HMRC have advised that they will be updating their tax credit computer system over the Easter weekend, 5th and 6th of April 2015.

This means their tax credits computer system will not be available from 4pm on Saturday 4th April until Tuesday 7 April.

The tax credits helpline will be open as normal on Saturday 4 April, but will be closed on the Bank holiday, Easter Monday 6 April and callers will hear a message directing them to the GOV.UK website if they want information.

The tax credits helpline will re-open as normal on Tuesday 7 April.
