Adjudicator’s Office - acting on behalf of someone else

The Adjudicator's Office have introduced an authority form which is to be used by anyone dealing with a complaint to the Adjudicator's Office, where they are acting on behalf of someone else.

The Adjudicator's Office authority form is separate to HMRC's TC689 authorisation form.

Although authorisation to act on behalf of someone else may have been provided to HMRC with a completed TC689 form, this will not be accepted by the Adjudicator's Office as authorisation for them to deal with the 3rd party and a separate Adjudicator's Office authority form must be signed by the claimant and submitted.

The Adjudicator's Office authority form is available via the Adjudicator's Office website.
