Aide to help Advisers and their organisations to estimate increases in demand on their services

HMRC Benefits and Credits have provided the Revenuebenefits website with an aide to enable organisations to estimate potential increases in demand on their services, and to identify times when claimants (and advisers) might experience delays in getting through to the tax credits and child benefit helplines/offices.

The aide  outlines potential demand for advisors of tax credits and child benefit.  It assumes that the demand for advisers will be proportional to that seen for demand on HMRC's telephony services (helplines).

The document is intended to aid organisations, who deal with tax credits and child benefit queries from the public, to plan for changes in the number and type of queries across the year by showing when relatively busy weeks are likely to be and what subjects are likely to be of particular relevance week by week.

We will be incorporating this aide  within the main revenuebenefits website over coming weeks.  The aide will be updated every 3 months with HMRC’s latest estimates of likely demand.

We would appreciate your views regarding the usefulness of this aide  and any additional information that you may find useful.  Please leave a comment on this blog post or via our contact us page.
