Changes to HMRC intermediaries line

Previously, when advisers contacted the HMRC tax credits intermediaries line (0345 300 3946) they could only discuss one client at a time and if they had questions about another case then they would need to end the call and ring back. This was due to data protection issues around call recording.

At the start of November, HMRC reviewed their processes surround the handling of calls to the intermediaries helpline and a result of changes made, intermediaries can now discuss more than one claimant during each call.
