DWP - coronavirus update

DWP have published information on coronavirus and claiming benefits on their Understanding Universal Credit website. This page will be updated if there are any changes and it is advisable to  check back regularly.

The Chancellor has announced in today's Budget that for the duration of the outbreak, the requirements of the Minimum Income Floor are to be temporarily relaxed for those directly affected by COVID-19 or self-isolating according to government advice for duration of the outbreak. The statement is available on the GOV.UK website (page 39, item 1.96)  

The Government has also produced specific guidance for employers and businesses and additional advice for various sectors will be published on the GOV.UK website. Advice for the general public is also available on the government’s advice page. The official COVID-19 Action Plan, a public guide to the Government's enhanced plans to tackle the virus outbreak in this country, is available on GOV.UK.
