HMRC launch online ‘Where’s my reply?’ service
HMRC have launched a new service to their website for tax credit claimants.
It means that claimants and advisers can check online about the current processing times for certain tax credits enquiries and new claimsat http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/tools/progress-tool/
The ‘Where’s my reply?’ service now includes tax credits. So claimants can now find out when to expect a response if they’ve contacted HMRC about:
- a new claim
- to report a change
- requesting an application pack
- backdating a claim
- an award notice
- documents; such as a birth certificate or passport.
Claimants simply need to select why they contacted HMRC and the date they phoned or wrote to HMRC and the tool will provide a date by which they should receive a reply.
