Tax Credits Computer System Maintenance

HMRC have notified us that their planned routine upgrades to the tax credits computer system will take place this week, commencing Thursday 11 October 2012.

This will affect the service they can provide as the tax credits system will be unavailable from 7am Thursday 11 October until the start of business Monday 15 October 2012.

There will be a recorded message for customers who do call during the downtime period but Contact Centre helplines will be open as usual. Advisers in Contact Centres and on the Intemediaries Helpline will not be able to access the tax credits computer system but will be available for general advice.

There are no major changes included in this upgrade, the main items being minor system fixes to improve internal user facilities for on-line viewing.
