Tax Credits: Domestic violence

There are special processes that staff should follow where a tax credits claimant indicates that they are in a domestic violence situation.

We previously held detailed guidance on this page about domestic violence, unfortunately this appears to have been withdrawn from the tax credit manuals.

HMRC's debt manual contains some guidance on how HMRC treat tax credit overpayments in cases where domestic violence is notified to them.
