If a potential TFC claimant or other partner receives Universal Credit, Tax Credit, Childcare vouchers or directly contracted childcare support, they should ensure they fully understand the impact of making a TFC claim.
Depending on what else they are claiming, they may need to consider whether they would be better off leaving the other benefit/scheme and claiming TFC instead. However, before any other claim is withdrawn or a claim for TFC made, advice should be taken to fully understand the consequences. See our TFC and other childcare support section for more information.
